Beauty tips for dry skin
With the days getting colder , and dryer, our skin doesn’t retain water as good as it evaporates more quickly. This leaves our skin feeling dry and even looking a bit flaky. The winter months in the upper Midwest are very harsh and our skin usually needs more care during this time!
Over the years I gathered an army of products and tricks to maintain my skin hydrated and smooth during the winter months.
The best project you’ll ever work on is you.
Here are some of my best tips for getting rid of dry skin!

1.Stop the Hot Showers!
On those cold days nothing feels better than a hot long shower, but in reality it’s super damaging to your skin. It actually dries your skin even more and quicker and it can cause irritation and itching. Instead take short lukewarm showers and do not forget to moisturize your skin after!
2.Always Moisturize!
This is one of the best things you can do for your skin, find a moisturizer that agrees with your skin and does not have harsh ingredients!!!!! Use it in the morning before your make-up routine and at night before you go to bed. This will keep your skin happy and smooth!

3. Use Hydrating serums
Treat your skin to a hydrating serum to help your skin stay hydrated. Also, some serums also help us combat fine lines, uneven skin tone, and help plump your skin up. This would be something you would do 2-3 times a week depending on the serum.

Most importantly, don’t forget to also stay hydrated and eat clean as it helps your skin stay hydrated as well and healthy!
