Happy new years babe! Though it’s the end of January, it’s never too late to begin practicing healthy habits. Let’s talk about what you can do to be the happiest version of yourself and things you can do to help de-stress. Let me help you find the best Self Care Habits for 2023!
This year take a step back and look at the full picture that is your life. Examine what you have already accomplished, what you are currently working on, and what you want to achieve in your life.
Create a Vision Board
Sometimes it can get overwhelming thinking about what you really want to achieve. Sometimes, it is much easier to let it all out by gathering images of things you enjoy and putting them together. A vision board can jumpstart your creative juices. You can print off pictures, make a collage on your phone, or create a Pinterest board for your vision board! The idea is to have fun with it and put together all your short- and long-term goals in a visual that you’ll enjoy looking back at. You can start by creating a Self Care Habits for 2023 vision board!
Five Minute Journal
Keeping a journal can be a very powerful de-stressor and creative outlet for many. You can write down thoughts, ideas, doodles, or anything else that works for you. Day Trips
Getting stuck on a routine can cause a real roadblock on creativity and overall get you down. Stop waiting to your next vacation and take small day trips. Go somewhere new or get out of town for a bit. This breaks the routine and gets your mind out of the usual things that worry you. Make a list of places you want to visit weather it be a new restaurant or just a place you love to go. This does not have to take over a whole day but it does help you detach from your routine and gives yourself some relief form the busy life.
Winter can be a gloomy time, its cold but grab a hot chocolate and get out and enjoy mother nature she is beautiful in all her stages!
Get Creative!
As the week rolls on it can get very repetitive and kill your vibe. Plan for a time to do something you enjoy. This can be reading a book, watching a movie you’ve been waiting to see, getting a facial, gardening, shopping, or going out to eat at a new restaurant in town. Just make sure it’s something you fully enjoy and can help you keep your mind off your normal routine. There are many hobbies you can pick up and it is essential to have a creative outlet to express yourself!

Get Coloring!

Whip yourself up a yummy homemade dish
This might not be a very obvious one, but there is nothing better than delicious homemade food. Been Craving something? Get to making it! It can be very rewarding. This one is the most obvious option, but it is really the best to help relax and it is literal self-care. Ill attach some amazing products that you can use on your spa day. I recommend grabbing a friend and plan out a full spa experience and yes even down to the music and lighting babe! Turn on some relaxing music and get into a cozy outfit, put on a mask you’ve been wanting to try and journal while your at it. I highly recommend getting yourself some facial globes they really do help with puffiness and feel very nice, they totally elevate your routine! Make your home your safe spot
This one is extremely critical! Your home should be a place where you can relax, where you can be yourself, and where you enjoy being. Make your home an extension of you. It can also be used as a creative outlet. Consider setting up a reading corner or an area where you can enjoy your hobbies. If you’re into make-up, get yourself a vanity and a comfortable chair to accommodate that passion. Surround yourself with everything you love and definitely use Pinterest as inspiration it a fabulous place!
